Diet for your preparation
for healing with ayahuasca
The diet before ayahuasca ceremonies is very important. It ensures the safety of ceremonies and the depth of work. In addition, the diet helps to cleanse the body before the ceremonies (and this makes the job easier). In the Shipibo-Konibo tradition, the diet is important as it also shows your commitment to the ayahuasca work, which will provide deeper results. If you have any questions about the diet, please let us know.
Two Weeks prior, abstain from:
• Any plant medicines/psychedelics (including san pedro, ayahuasca, mushrooms, LSD,
cannabis, etc.)
• All street drugs (cocaine, MDMA, amphetamines, etc.)
• Sexual activities of any kind, including masturbation (this is a very important point. The fact is that ayahuasca very often works with sexual energy. In connection with this, in the Shipibo-Konibo tradition, it is important to abstain from orgasm before the ceremony).
• Alcohol
• Pork
• Very spicy foods
• Ice, ice cream, or ice cold drinks

One Week prior, abstain from:
• Refined sugars
• Red meat
• Junk foods
• Salt or pepper (it’s fine to eat slightly salted products)
• Sweets or chocolate
• Oils (if you must use oil, use olive or coconut oil very sparingly)
• Animal fats (lard, etc.)
• Carbonated drinks (including diet sodas, energy drinks, non-alcoholic beer)
• Dairy products
• Fermented foods
• Caffeine & other stimulants

Additional restrictions:
IMPORTANT: Please contact us if you are currently taking any medication or
supplements.
• Ayahuasca is not compatible with pregnancy.
• If you will be menstruating during the journey, please inform your facilitators when
you arrive.
• Avoidance of synthetic soaps, perfumes, toiletries, etc.
Mental diet before and after
the healing with ayahuasca
In the weeks before and after the ayahuasca session, be very careful about the information you consume. A week before the ceremony, it is important to consider your so-called mental diet - do not read the news, do not watch TV, do not watch blockbusters, or consume any other information that can disturb your inner world.

The best thing is to tune in to your intention, walk more in nature, swim in the sea, meditate. The Shipibo-Konibo say that the spirit of ayahuasca begins to work with you as soon as you make a firm decision to drink. Therefore, you need to be attentive to what happens to you during this period, what realizations, dreams, and unexpected thoughts come during this period. All of this can be collected, written down, as it will all be relevant to your transformative experience with ayahuasca.
