Deep and safe plant medicine journeys
to indigenous villages of the Amazon
Plant The Idea is an indigenous healing and transformation project in South America. We work with the Sacred Plants, such as ayahuasca, as indigenous people have done for thousands of years.
Instead, we travel with the small group to the indigenous villages, being guests at homes of trusted shamananic lineages.

There we receive healing, transformation and teaching from the shamans and the Sacred Plants with the guidance and support of highly-experienced facilitators.
No, we don’t do spiritual retreats. Neither we do our work in a hotel-like environment.

TESTIMONIALS

Deep Ayahuasca Jungle Journey,
Peru, May’22
“These ceremonies were different and deeper that ceremonies I have done so far. Maybe it was so deep because we were in the family of maestro, the shaman of the Shipibo-Konibo tribe. We were welcomed very warm, as if we were part of the family. We lived I the special tambos (jungle houses) side by side with the family. The family took care of us as if we were members their own family..."

“Journey was magic, and as time goes, I see that is still has an effect. I am thankful to the Maesto’s family that hosted us. The family gave us opportunity to open much more and to know more about the world and ourselves. To know who and what we are, and what we want. I feel grateful to everyone that came to my way. And mother of the Shipibo family (Iolanta), and maestro (Fernando), and all the family..."

“Have you have you have you faced your shadows?
The real shadows that lurk within your soul.
That are deeply hidden from your line of sight, not seen to the naked eye?
I thought I had.
I thought I had made sense of my childhood traumas on a rational level – but little did I know, I was still reeling from the spiritual pain..."

“The city inhabitants are sceptics. Magic has left the world of cities. But the ceremonies in the jungle make me believe in magic again. But it is not enough. Our head is like a garbage bin. We are sinking in the information flow, and we can’t focus of something that really matters. The jungle journey is the perfect was to clean your head and in the moment of enlightenment to get insights and answers on questions that matter..."

WHY PLANT THE IDEA?
Trustful Shamans
We work only with the shamans who are the voice of their traditions and have impeccable reputation. We do not work with the shamans who practice brujeria as we believe that shamanic way is the way of heling, light, wisdom.
The most authentic experience
We arrive in indigenous villages to be guests at homes of trusted shamanic lineages.
Personal work
The facilitator helps during the ceremonies, and acts as an interpreter and guide.
Deep healing and transformation
Our journeys and ceremonies have homely atmosphere. We live with the shamans side by side, they and all family care of us. All of these gives us an opportunity to heal and learn first-hand from the best wisdom-keepers.
Unique materials
During our journey we are collecting the unique materials of videos, photos, recordings of songs. All of that serves to better understand the indigenous culture.
Anti-exploitative approach
For us, the shamans and the sacred plants are teachers and not someone that we employ. We proud to support communities and to preserve their knowledge for the future.

"II was born here in Peru, in my native community. My father's name is Fernando, my mother's name is Yolanda. Mom has always been very knowledgeable about medicinal plants. She is a very good herbalist, and can make very strong infusions for any disease. But you should not be surprised, because Yolanda is the daughter of my grandfather Pascual, one of the strongest and most respected shamans that can be found in Peru. I also have a brother and two..."

" I was born in Peru, in the village, where I live to this day. We are native Shipibo, my whole family lives here. My husband Fernando and I have three children, which makes me very happy. Family is the most valuable thing in our life. Within our family, I pass on ancestral knowledge to my daughters and my son, as I received it from my parents. Knowledge should not disappear, because it has so much value and such opportunities to help those in need of..."

"I was born in the village Nueva Libertador in Peru. It is the community located on the left bank of Ucayali river. Now I live and work in the village. I work with the sacred plants, cooking the brew of ayahuasca and also do special herbal and floral baths for our guests. I can see what needs to be healed. I can pick up special plants or trees depending on it. I have worked with many cases, but normally we can heal many deceases only with the jungle plants..."

I always have been into healing the others, singing the ikaros, learning from the Mother Ayahuasca. My maestro is Pascual Mahua Ochavano. All my life I have been practicing the healing with the ayahuasca, doing the ceremonies, and also I have done many diets..."
